Technical Products: Overview of Atvantage® and ProTechtor™

National Nonwovens is at the forefront in engineering fiber-processing technologies for composite materials and plays an integral role in defining the future of nonwovens in progressive markets such as: Aerospace, Filtration, Industrial, Medical, and Protection.   Two innovative materials, Atvantage® and ProTechtor®, lead National Nonwovens’ product offering array.

Atvantage® – Composite Structural Core & Composite Insulating Core

Engineered for specific end uses, Atvantage® provides compressive strength, flame retardancy, acoustic attenuation, and thermal insulation, while achieving a balance between product performance, life, and cost.   Atvantage® is available in a structural core and an insulating core.

Composite Structural Core (CSC):

bullet

Mechanically interlocked in an isotropic array with chemical enhancements

bullet

Provides acoustic, thermal, and vibration attenuation while maintaining all structural properties… even in complex shapes including strength, stiffness, thickness, and uniformity

bullet

By adjusting fiber blends and resins, CSC is engineered to be manufacturing compatible with your fabricating processes

Composite Insulating Core (CIC):

bullet

Offers exceptional insulating properties where stability in high temperature environments is required

bullet

Structured fiber array; constructed using advanced manufacturing techniques to be self-supporting without chemical or woven fabric enhancements

bullet

Compatible with your fabricating processes and can be used in many product designs, including those that must pass tough industry standards such as FAR 25.853, U.L 94 HB, and BAC-5564
